Each February, hikers from across America gather in Washington DC to improve the state of trails in America and the hiking experience by advocating for increased funding, promotion and protection of trails and our natural heritage. This year, we'll be engaging young hikers and families on foot like never before- So take charge of your hiking experience and join American Hiking and friends in Washington DC to Hike the Hill in 2010!

-Engage your entire family in trail stewardship and volunteerism
-Receive training in advocacy at the local, state, and federal level
-Help increase federal funding for all trails
-Shape policies that promote, develop and protect the hiking experience
-Develop productive partnerships with federal and state land management agencies
-Meet and influence Senators and Representatives
-Learn about eAdvocacy, social networking and emerging technologies in trail protection.
-Make a difference!
