So its seems the time has come to put away the BBQ grill and toss the surfboard in the garage. It's time to pull out the base layers and wax up the board. I'm stoked to see its getting colder out and the days are getting shorter. At the same time I'm bummed to call it quits on summer. Its always hard saying goodbye to summer but, winter treats me a tad bit better. I've done a lot of thinking this summer, as well as a ton of playing, and I've calculated and written out my goals for the winter season. With another shot at The North Face Masters, I'll be prepared to redeem myself along the tour and grab a good overall placement. That's not the only task on the "To-Shred" (to-do) list. I was invited to work on a small-time local video production which will be my first opportunity as a sponsored rider to step into even the smallest amount of light. Working with these guys will give me a boost of confidence and get me well prepared for an even BIGGER event happening for me this season. I have also been invited to work with professional photographer Stan Evans and considerably the #1 snowboarder in the world, Travis Rice. These guys are calling me up and taking me under their wing and I'm ready to learn from the best of the bests best! It's an unbelieveable opportunity and I'm going to do my best to make the most out of every event. Be on the lookout for a young Ryan Hudson when you're follow The North Face Masters Of Snowboarding Tour. I'm going to step up the training and get my mind in tune with the competitive atmosphere. Hey, if all else fails, I just keep my head high, smile, and have tons of fun! I want to thank my amazing sponsors: The North Face, Gramicci Clothing, Vans, Pro-tec, and Avalon 7 for helping get to where I want to be as an athlete, and I'm not going to stop until I get there! See you in the Wasatch!
