Late Summer Call for Volunteers & 700 Youth Participant Mark Reached!

My "teacher type" friends are talking about getting their classrooms back in order before the coming student invasions. It's getting dark before 9 p.m. It feels like summer is winding down but we still need volunteer support to finish off our busiest summer ride season ever!

TFKD/B completed our 81st ride of the year today with Urban Peak, a program for homeless youth and eclipsed the 700 youth participant mark for 2010.  We will certainly pass our annual participation record (729 youth participants in '09) by the end of the month, if not by the end of this week!

Andy B's Ride Report: Fresh Trail and Familiar Faces

It's been an amazing riding season for Trips for Kids Denver/Boulder! Great new TFKB partners like Colorado Youth Program and Reflections for Youth have inspired us to seek out new trails for our mountain biking adventures. Both locations feature stunning scenery and are perfect to help us share the joys of mountain biking in Colorado with fantastic groups of great kids.

A three day mountain bike camping trip was held June 21st, 22nd and 23rd in partnership with Boulder Inner City Outings and...Click to read on>>

Volunteer Shop Night: August 12th from 4-8 pm.

The focus of the August Shop Night: prepare for our big shop sale on August 21st.  We need to sort through our big o' pile of donated bikes, set aside the bikes for our fall earn-a-bike program, pull out the junkers, and fix up the adult and child size bikes for sale.

We'll also need a hand from non-bike tech folks (like me!) sorting and pricing our stock of donated cycling gear and clothing for the sale.

Volunteer Shop Night:

August 12th from 4pm -8pm
2840 S Elati St, Englewood, CO 80110

Please contact Andy Brannon if you can lend a hand or just show up! 303-919-4259 or abrannon@tripsforkidsdenver.org
